Creator partnerships: Define the delivery package

Separate content, publication and reuse in a creator partnership. Plan product information, approval boundaries and publication evidence with an example.

A desk lamp brand commissions two short videos. When the creator sends them, the brand expects to turn them into ads, while the creator intended publication only on their own account. The file count is the same, but the expected work is different. A creator partnership’s delivery package should explain how and where the content will be used. The modular desk lamp brand here is fictional; the example makes no claim about a real campaign or sales result.

Separate production, publication and usage scope

Describe each deliverable with three questions: what will be produced, who will publish it and what may the brand do afterwards? A post on the creator’s account, a video file handed to the brand and permission for advertising are different items. Record the accounts, formats, languages and versions included. Discuss recutting, other channels and paid distribution before treating them as part of the package. This working list does not replace legal documentation; it helps both parties understand the same scope.

Prepare the product experience with verifiable information

A feature list is not enough for the fictional lamp. Provide the included parts, assembly sequence, usage limits and current product page. Separate something visible in a demonstration from a claim that needs evidence. The space occupied on a desk can be shown; a claim about reducing eye strain should not be made without suitable support. Allow time to try the product and identify a contact for questions. Do not ask for manufactured enthusiasm in a first-reaction shot.

Give every delivery card observable criteria

A video card can include its topic, customer question, approximate sequence, orientation, spoken language, caption requirement and expected output. In our example, the first video demonstrates assembly and the second explains cable placement on a small desk. Do not count two cuts of one video as two different ideas. If raw footage is required, specify which material and how it should be organised. Connect approved scope to file names and versions so later corrections can be traced.

Distinguish accuracy checks from creative expression

Separating product information from the creator’s delivery makes revisions easier to explain. An incorrect assembly step or an unshown feature is a concrete correction. I would not say it that way may be a creative preference. Appoint one person to consolidate feedback, use time references and identify new scenes outside the agreed scope. Include approval time in the delivery schedule. Make the effect of a late comment on publication timing visible rather than silently transferring it to the creator.

Check commercial disclosures before publication

Review the chosen platform’s current commercial-content tools and applicable obligations. YouTube requires the paid-promotion notification in video details for content involving a commercial relationship; that tool does not automatically replace other disclosure obligations. Do not assume another platform has the same control. Include the disclosure’s placement, destination link and final product information in the publication review. Do not expand unapproved usage scope while preparing the post. The final version should reflect the agreement already reached.

Close the file handover with publication evidence

Record the published address, account, date and approved version. Check the caption, link and commercial disclosure together. If reporting is included, agree the indicators, reporting period and person responsible beforehand. A video view does not establish that someone purchased. The first report should verify the agreed delivery and identify a customer question that could be answered better next time, rather than manufacture a success story. Keep unmeasured outcomes visible instead of presenting them as achieved results.

Frequently asked questions

Can two videos share one delivery card?

Common rules can live together, but each video needs a visible purpose, version and acceptance criteria.

Is raw footage automatically included?

Do not assume so. Agree the included footage and its usage scope explicitly at the start.

Can views alone establish success?

No. Report indicators tied to the publication objective and state which outcomes were not measured.

When planning a partnership with BiKreatif, distinguish files to produce, posts to publish and usage scope. Production, publication and reporting responsibilities can then share a clear schedule.
